Howdy!
My name is Krista (she/her), and I’m the artist behind SunHound Ink! My page recently had a re-brand, and was formerly called “KristaMarieTattoos”. I am a fourth-year tattoo artist based in Fort Collins, Colorado. I grew up in Fort Collins, and learned to tattoo in Oregon before moving back to my wonderful home state.
In 2022, I opened Witch of the West Tattoo Collective. Opening this studio has brought together an amazing community of women and queer tattoo artists, and I am so thankful for the support our studio has received since opening. Becoming a tattoo artist has been the most rewarding decision I’ve made, and I feel honored to be a part of this trade. Creating a safe and inclusive tattoo environment is very important to me, as well as minimizing pain and making the whole tattoo process as comfortable as possible!
Some of my favorite things are the spring/summer, BOBA TEA, flea markets, TWILIGHT, terracotta colors, & the desert!
I am an INFP, an Aquarius (sun and moon, RIP), and an Enneagram type 4.
The absolute best part of my life is my pup, Cassie. She is 8 years old, and she has been a part of my life for 7 years.
My favorite place is the desert, so I spend a lot of time traveling along the dusty backroads of NM, UT, and AZ.
I live with chronic illness and disability. I have a neurological disorder called CRPS, or RSD, which has led to permanent nerve damage in my legs. In short, it causes the sympathetic nervous system to degrade, and creates chronic pain. Having a disability is part of my identity, and has created a unique journey for me as a tattooer and in life.
I have so much gratitude for my clients and the everyone who supports my art. My clients mean the world to me, and I am thankful for all the wonderful people who have sat in my chair. Thank you for your interest in my work!
